Despite all that, Bruno Mars was supported by high calibre individuals of the musical industry: Philip Lawrence, songwriter and producer, Steve Lindsey, record producer, songwriter music publisher and music industry executive, and Keith Harris, drummer for the Black Eyed Peas. Lindsey became a mentor for the artist. He showed him what a hit pop music is and how to hone his craft. Lawrence and Harris wrote songs for him and looked for labels.
