Offensive Player of the Half-Year: LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego
It is difficult to question that Tomlinson is the most electrifying player in the game at the moment. The fourth-year pro has 835 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground, 28 catches and two more TDs via the air, and has burned three different opponents that have dared to key on the run by throwing touchdown passes. Tomlinson's 15 TDs lead the league (remember, however that the Chargers have played nine games to eight for most of the remainder of the league), and his 1,099 yards from scrimmage are also tops in the NFL. If the Bolts can rally from their hot-and-cold 5-4 start to make the playoffs, Tomlinson could end up with quite a bit of hardware.

Yeah we would, but same could be said without gates. We would be in trouble without Jamal Williams. Everyone has a key player that makes them work, the colts are bad with out manning, the pat's are bad without brady on O and Harrison on D.

nothing against gates or williams but losing them wouldn't be nearly as devistating as tomlinson, tomlinson opens up so much for your offense its ridiculous

Yeah, thats true he does make something out of nothing for us. We need to get to a point that LT is not our only way of winning.
I am guessing the raiders thought moss would do this for them.

Can the Raiders do us a favor this weekend and not only beat the piss out of the Broncos but maybe exact a little "payback" with some chop blocks on the Denver D-Line? That or screw it, you guys are going to get flagged like sons of bitches anyways so why not a helmet to helmet late hit on Jake the flake? I want dead horses damnit. Time to make some dog food Oakland.
**** I hate Denver.

its more than making something out of nothing, he takes pressure off the rest of the team, he draws alot of attention that would otherwise be focused on gates, k-mac, or brees. Moss will be that pressence for us, its just been a rough start and eventually moss and collins will find there groove, once that happens we will get that high powered offense everyone has been waiting to see, of coarse moss's injuries havn't helped.

I really think that losing has made his injury worse, with no realy chance for the playofffs, I see Moss not working as hard to get back to the field.

Tomlinson is clear-cut Off. Player of Year, but my team MVP might go to Gates. I look at it this way: Turner has been able to do an awesome job in spelling LT, and we could still be a strong team if Turner were called upon to carry the load. But the dropoff in production if we were to lose Gates would be HUGE. I think Gates is the cog that keeps the offense ticking, but hes young and soft-spoken so he might not get the recognition he deserves.

I must respectfully disagree. The defense key on LT, which allows gates more room. when they bracket and triple cover him, he has no chance at more then 30 - 50 yds recieving. but with LT in there, they can't key on gates. I think Gates/Keenan help LT way less then LT helps them.
