Lets hope so they missed his outside game last year.. I think they're gonna possibly make a blockbuster trade here soon with Nene and/or Miller for a top notch shooting guard thats why they brought in Watson to take Millers spot..Any thoughts??? tormentor666 10-27-2005, 01:30 PM the nugs are going to give the spurs a run for their money. definately a team on the rise. ncraider84 10-27-2005, 01:33 PM Vo has been around for awhile but he can still shoot the lights out. I'd rather see him start over Dermarr Johnson. ncraider84 10-27-2005, 01:34 PM the nugs are going to give the spurs a run for their money. definately a team on the rise. They may give them a run but the Spurs are talented and now one of the deeper teams in the league. They are gonna be hard to beat barring injuries to Duncan. raidertom81 10-27-2005, 02:01 PM They may give them a run but the Spurs are talented and now one of the deeper teams in the league. They are gonna be hard to beat barring injuries to Duncan. The Spurs are deep deep especially now with Finley..Their roster is tight top to bottom... ncraider84 10-27-2005, 02:05 PM The Spurs are deep deep especially now with Finley..Their roster is tight top to bottom... Tell me about it. Now with Finley as a reserve that could push Brent Barry out of the rotation and the pick-up of NVE will take over the backup PG position from Udrih. What a luxury it is to have depth like that!!! raidertom81 10-27-2005, 02:08 PM Vo has been around for awhile but he can still shoot the lights out. I'd rather see him start over Dermarr Johnson. DerMarr is way more athletic and a good option for this team if anyone goes down. I'm a fan of both of them.. raidertom81 10-27-2005, 02:13 PM Tell me about it. Now with Finley as a reserve that could push Brent Barry out of the rotation and the pick-up of NVE will take over the backup PG position from Udrih. What a luxury it is to have depth like that!!! I'm curious to see how much Nick the Quick still has in the tank and if he's gonna be a stand up player or a pouter if he doesn't get his way..He's lights out in the playoffs when ever he's made it and if Parker struggles in the playoffs like usual Nick could take a lot of his time if he's not in pout mode. I don't see Barry making it past the trade deadline.. ncraider84 10-27-2005, 02:13 PM Dermarr definitely has the size and quickness over Leonard but as a true SG, Leonard can flat out shoot. I used to watch Dermarr while he was at Cincy. I thought he should have stayed to refine his game. ncraider84 10-27-2005, 02:16 PM I'm curious to see how much Nick the Quick still has in the tank and if he's gonna be a stand up player or a pouter if he doesn't get his way..He's lights out in the playoffs when ever he's made it and if Parker struggles in the playoffs like usual Nick could take a lot of his time if he's not in pout mode. I don't see Barry making it past the trade deadline.. Nick isn't very quick, anymore! It could be age and the fact his knees are starting to go bad on him. He says he wants to play on a contender, he got his wish. Agree, Barry will most likely be moved. AudieMurphy1 10-27-2005, 02:17 PM i miss van exel being a mav:mad: raidertom81 10-27-2005, 02:21 PM Dermarr definitely has the size and quickness over Leonard but as a true SG, Leonard can flat out shoot. I used to watch Dermarr while he was at Cincy. I thought he should have stayed to refine his game. He should have stayed!! He's just now getting right 100% after the car accident he was in a few years back too I think this will be a big break out season for him..Leonard is an awesome shooter..Last year I would go to the games when he was hurt and part of his rehab was shooting before each game and on one hurt leg he was still lighting it up!!! raidertom81 10-27-2005, 02:24 PM Nick isn't very quick, anymore! It could be age and the fact his knees are starting to go bad on him. He says he wants to play on a contender, he got his wish. Agree, Barry will most likely be moved. He got his wish big time.. If I was him I would play the roll they wanted him to play and enjoy being on the team he's on and shut the heck up and be ready for crunch time he's always been a "Crunch Time" player even here in Denver.. ncraider84 10-27-2005, 02:27 PM Dermarr is what 6-9 or 6-10, I thought he would make a solid SF in the Rahard Lewis mold. However, he still hasn't added much bulk to his lanky frame and that could be why he plays outside instead of crashing the boards. That was a pretty bad accident he had a few years ago....good to see he's back on the right track. ncraider84 10-27-2005, 02:29 PM True, it doesn't get much better than playing for the champs. I wonder if he'll actually be able to hold up physically though. Either way, he won't be counted on to log major minutes with a young starter in Parker and Beno behind NVE. He could easily slide into a Steve Smith/Wesley Person role and just get a few minutes here and there. raidertom81 10-27-2005, 02:35 PM True, it doesn't get much better than playing for the champs. Like you said depending on his body is gonna determine everything... ncraider84 10-27-2005, 02:37 PM I'm guessing 15-18 minutes a game give or take.. I was thinking the same thing about him bulking up Denver has an awesome strength an cond. coach. maybe he doen't want to sacrifice speed for strength I'm not sure.. ncraider84 10-27-2005, 02:46 PM I was thinking the same thing about him bulking up Denver has an awesome strength an cond. coach. maybe he doen't want to sacrifice speed for strength I'm not sure.. The negative about him sacrificing speed though will come when other ''big guards'' want to post him up. Yes, Dermarr may have a size advantage but they will eat him alive backing him down and using their strength on him. raidertom81 10-27-2005, 02:56 PM The negative about him sacrificing speed though will come when other ''big guards'' want to post him up. Yeah it hurts him big time it gives his minutes to Greg Bucker when they face the bigger guards... ncraider84 10-27-2005, 02:58 PM Yeah it hurts him big time it gives his minutes to Greg Bucker when they face the bigger guards... Argghh Buckner....another Ruben Patterson type defender. You gotta respect the Buckners, Najeras, Pattersons, of the game. They do all the little dirty work, play defense, rebound, hustle players. In this day in age, a hustle player can stick around for years. raidertom81 10-27-2005, 03:05 PM Argghh Buckner....another Ruben Patterson type defender. The Nuggets are lucky they have 2 players like that Buck and Najera...I went to about 5 games after they picked up Najera and the guy is pure hustle and the fans love him...If everyone stays healthy I can see the Nuggs and Spurs in the Western finals... ncraider84 10-27-2005, 03:08 PM Buckner is too awesome.. I wouldn't sleep on Dallas or Houston. Plus, the Suns will have Amare back for the second half of the season and he may be hitting his stride again by that time. raidertom81 10-27-2005, 03:16 PM I wouldn't sleep on Dallas or Houston. Plus, the Suns will have Amare back for the second half of the season and he may be hitting his stride again by that time. True but Dallas plays no D and for Houston they're not very deep and is this gonna be the year where McGrady finally hurts his back enough for surgery and takes the time and gets it fixed right? As for the Suns they could possibly be to far out by time he comes back, don't forget they lost Joe Johnson also I'm not sure they've got the bench to cover for their loses... ncraider84 10-27-2005, 03:22 PM True but Dallas plays no D and for Houston they're not very deep and is this gonna be the year where McGrady finally hurts his back enough for surgery and takes the time and gets it fixed right? The Suns are hurting after losing Joe, Q, and Amare going down. They are going to rely heavily on Nash. I dunno if Nash can carry a team by himself. Speaking of injuries, they seem to trouble the Denver frontline just about every year. Camby, Nene, and Martin seem to miss quite a few games here and there. It's hard to make a playoff push while your decked out in pin-stripes. raidertom81 10-27-2005, 05:16 PM The Suns are hurting after losing Joe, Q, and Amare going down. Camby, Nene, and Martin seem to miss quite a few games here and there. It's hard to make a playoff push while your decked out in pin-stripes. I don't think Nash can carry the team by himself that team is gonna miss Amare probably more than any team would miss any one player he is so key to their success...As for Denvers injures last year was actually a better year injury wise and I like their back up when Camby gets hurt Elson brings a lot of positive emotion and hustle to the court...Martin and Nene play the same position so it hasn't really hurt them yet since they usually never seem to be hurt at the same time..I would actually like to see them trade Nene he hasn't really shown me alot, to predictable always a head fake first instead of going up strong, horrible footwoork, nothing that resembles a jumper from any distance and last but not least pays to much attention to argueing with refs a actually being a cry baby instead of playing hard and earning his fouls and earning the calls he deserves...You know how it is in the NBA you earn calls from the refs... pac4eva5 10-28-2005, 05:56 PM Lets hope so they missed his outside game last year.. I think they're gonna possibly make a blockbuster trade here soon with Nene and/or Miller for a top notch shooting guard thats why they brought in Watson to take Millers spot..Any thoughts??? serious? that would be dope! i like miller and nene though... i heard vo has been ON FIRE all training camp and pre-season so we'll see... pac4eva5 10-28-2005, 05:58 PM Tell me about it. What a luxury it is to have depth like that!!! dont forget van exel. he is as clutch as they get... i loved him with nuggets... spurs will win the title unless they have serious injuries pac4eva5 10-28-2005, 06:00 PM dermarr needs to get bigger and and more aggresive Natey 10-28-2005, 10:39 PM THey are going to easily win thish division. Melo better play Great this year better then last year. because they are going to need every inch of his greatness! pac4eva5 10-28-2005, 10:49 PM THey are going to easily win thish division. Melo better play Great this year better then last year. because they are going to need every inch of his greatness! i think he will. i think he'll avg 26 points a game, and his rebounds and assists will go up too. this will be a killer year... Natey 10-29-2005, 09:01 AM he better. Because i want this guy to be a star raidertom81 04-17-2006, 02:43 PM Told you so!!! |
