Moss Looking Forward to Mile High Stadium Trip

(AP) Oakland, CA - In a personal interview today, wide receiver extraordinaire and Raiders team pharmacist Randy Moss refused to apologize or retract his earlier statements concerning his use of marijuana, and instead declared that he is looking forward to his teams trip to play in Denver's Mile High Stadium later this season.

"I've played high before, but never a mile high!" said Moss with a glimmer of anticipation in his eyes. "If it's everything, you know, I think it will be I might just stay there after the game and request a trade."

Teammates were understandably angry at Moss for breaking up hard-earned team unity and focus before the season even started. "I had alot of respect for Randy (Moss) coming in," said kicker Sebastian Janikowski, "but a true teammate wouldn't keep that to themselves, they'd pass it around." Warren Sapp concurrred. "That sh** ain't right, holding out on teammates."

When pressed whether he still smokes marijuana, the star receiver said: "You know, I might. I might, you know, still have fun" as he emphatically nodded his head and winked. "OK, I do." He suddenly beamed with a big grin. "And, you know," Moss continued, "hopefully ... I won't you know, get into any trouble by the NFL by saying that, you know. I have had fun throughout my years but, you know, it was, you know, only during the season or the offseason. You know."

When asked what kind of message it sends to kids, Moss replied, "But, you know, I don't want any kids, you know, watching, you know, this taking a lesson from me as far as 'Well, you know, Randy Moss used it so I'm going to use it.' You know. I don't want kids to, you know, think that you can take drugs everyday. Like I say ... I have used (marijuana) in the past. But you know, every new moon and every weekday I still might. But, you know.

Kids, here's my message: Stay in milk, drink school, that's what I'm talking about. You can't hit the spleef and still be an NFL star. Well maybe I can do that - but not you. It was alot of fun though you know, I won't, you know, lie about that. Good times ... good times."

The NFL's drug testing center has moved a portable trailer to a spot adjoining their lab so that Moss can have somewhere to rest in between the 5 league administered drug tests a day he will be undertaking this season.

Other NFL veterans have expressed shock at the star receivers admission.

"That's just sad, shame on Randy Moss. It's a terrible day for football when someone that our children look up to openly discusses their drug use as preferrable to playing sports," said Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams."

Ray Lewis of The Baltimore Ravens called Moss a "... poor role model and a thug. He's everything that's wrong with the NFL and doesn't deserve his positive image in the press."

Former Raiders quarterback Todd "Marijuanovich" Marinovich concurred. "I am shocked that a player of his caliber would throw his talent away like that. Simply shocked."

Bill Romanowski, another former Raider legend, simply says that Moss, "... has no class."

Past transgressions include running a traffic control officer over with his car in 2002, verbally abusing corporate sponsors on a team bus in 2001, squirting an official with a water bottle in 1999, and the sharp spike of teen pregnancies in Minnesota during his time with the Vikings organization.
