Manning's Legacy is on the line

If Manning doesn't produce, he'll be far less lovable Monday morning. He'll be the butt of late-night TV jokes. He'll be viewed as the Marty Schottenheimer of quarterbacks or the Alex Rodriguez of football. Manning will face the backlash of being given the throne without having earned it with titles.

FOXBORO — If you're looking for a good Peyton Manning joke, check your e-mail, because a real classic has been joy riding all over the information superhighway this week.
It goes something like this:
After living a full life, Manning goes to heaven where God takes him to a modest house with a Colts pennant waving in the window.
Manning graciously accepts his new home until he looks up the street and sees a towering three-story mansion painted red and blue with silver trim and a Patriots banner in every window.
"Hey, God," Manning asks, "I was an All-Pro, a Hall of Famer and broke every passing record in the book. Why does Tom Brady get a better house than me?"
"That's not Tom Brady's house," God replies. "It's mine."

So far in the playoffs he's got 5 INTs and 1 TD.
That's Mr. Manning as far as I am concerned.

I bet that huge contract will get blown up if he chokes this time, with everything "perfect" for them to advance. Plus, Dwight Freeney needs a contract, are the ever gonna pay a defensive player?

I just don't like that team philosophy.
