Cardinals | Bidwill discusses Green's status with team
Mon, 23 Oct 2006 20:35:48 -0700
Darren Urban, of the East Valley Tribune, reports Arizona Cardinals vice president Michael Bidwill said Monday, Oct. 23 head coach Dennis Green will not be fired. However, he would not say Green's job with the team for the remainder of the 2006 season is safe either. Bidwell said, "I'm here to tell you there isn't going to be any coaching change or ultimatum or vote of confidence." When asked if Green would finish the year with the team, Bidwill reiterated his original thought and added, "This is not what I want to be talking about right now. I cannot believe we are sitting here 1-6." Bidwill said he talked to both Green and vice president of football operations Rod Graves and asked them to "redouble their efforts" in trying to turn around the team's season.
