Auburn Vs. WSU I think Auburn wins this game for obvious reasons but if they aren't ready to play Jason Hill could have a big day. But look for kenny Irons to have a monstrous day and wear down that undersized but very fast defense. (Side note it will be very hot and humid.) Arkansas Vs Usc Obiviously things have changed in this game out is McFadden with a broken foot due to a bar fight. I think usc would have won this game anyway but I think the game would have been closely contested but now it could get ugly but the weather could be a big factor in this game even though it is played at night. (Side note Dwayne Jarret might not be eligible for this game or this season) Tennessee Vs Cal Tennessee looks to bounce back from its worse season in some time they are loaded with talent and have had some top 5 recruiting classes. The return of David Cutcliffe known as qb guru that made the Mannings what they are today. He is a no nonsense coach that commands respect. So do not expect tennessee to underacheive this yr or Coach Fulmer will be out of Knoxville. Arian Foster is a great Talent at rb and it will take a great effort on d to slow him down. Aron Sears looks to be a 1st rd draft pick at OT he is also an Outland Trophy canidate. Justin Harrell is also a big time nfl prospect at DT. Tennessee returns one of the nations best Secondarys. Vols fans hope that Cutcliffe can turn Erik Ainge back into a highly touted qb. Cal on the other returns pretty much everyone on the defense that was significant except at safety where Brandon Hampton Bernard Hicks and Thomas Decoud expect to start if Hicks and Decoud start cal will have the best combination of size and speed at since I can remember both Hicks and decoud run 4.4 40s and during spring practice Decoud was laying the wood. Dameion Hughes and Tim Mixon return to form one of the nation top secondarys. Brandon Mebane listed by CFN as the #1 DT in america and is up for every defensive accolades in college football he is dominant player when healthy. Cal also has a very fast athletic defensive line with Phillip Mbakogu, Nuu Tafisi, Abu Ma'afala, Mike Kane, and big time in coming freshmen Derrick Hill. Cal's Linebacking corps is also one of the nation best with leading returning tackler Desmond Bishop, Worrell Williams, Micky Pimentel, Freshman All-Americans Zach Follet, and Anthony Felder. On offense Cal appears to be scary with the exception of OL and Qb those 2 areas have huge ? marks. Marshawn Lynch is a monster I expect him to go over 100 easily and if cal can get adequate qb play from Nate Longshore cal will win this game. Desean Jackson, Robert Jordan, Lavelle Hawkins, Noah Smith, Sam Desa, Laryell CunnigHam, David Gray, Jesse Canada, and new comer Jeremy Ross will have a big impact also big time recruit Sydquan Thompson will most see action at wr and db. Cal lost 3 ol to the nfl but have quality guys replacing them. I see Cal winning a close game. Auburn beats Washington State 34-27 USC beats Arkansas with John David Booty 42-17 Cal beats Tennessee 24-21 What do you guys think? Natey 07-30-2006, 09:18 PM BCS SUCKS!!! PLAYOFFS. any way 5 big time games this year. hopefully the buffaloes can do something with their good QB og_bammbamm 07-31-2006, 02:24 AM Auburns defense will be to strong for WSU The Cal and Tennesse game should be a great game to watch but I'll give the edge to Cal in a real close game USC should still blow out Arkansas even though we're unsure who's starting at QB at this time..but it won't be 70 point laugher like it was last year...LOL...I'm pushing for Sanchez to start for SC 41510dacode 07-31-2006, 05:36 PM BCS SUCKS!!! PLAYOFFS. any way 5 big time games this year. hopefully the buffaloes can do something with their good QB You can forget it because there is just too much money involved with the schools and the corporation called the Ncaa. AudieMurphy1 08-01-2006, 03:26 PM its notre dames year MasterShake2388 08-01-2006, 03:31 PM go Canes UC 08-01-2006, 10:42 PM If Cal can get stellar QB play, we will be in the running for sure. If not, Cal will be a fringe top 25 team. Either way, watchout for Marshawn Lynch.
