Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil said the team's doctors do not believe WR Samie Parker (knee) will be out long-term due to his knee injury.

Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil said the team does not have any interest in signing WR Freddie Mitchell at this time. The team is currently without WR Samie Parker (knee), hurting the depth at wide receiver.

My wife is a Chiefs fan and living in KC we hear alot about the Chiefs from friends, the papers, TV, and Radio. The Chiefs have never had great depth at WR even when they were healthy. Tony G is their best receiver and they haven't even been using him this year. Dick is a great coach and after the WR group he put together in St Louis you would have thought he would do a better job here in KC. Trent Green is a damn good QB and needs the help. Not sure that Mitchell will help all that much, but they seriously need to upgrade at this position...
