I haven't been following Hockey for very long...still learning, but I like the Ducks.....I also am a Habs fan, they were the first team I really followed, that is how I got into Hockey, a former friend is a big Habs fan. :D

Habs have a great goalie.
ducks will probably play the Preds in the first round.
Should be a good fight, both teams are fast and deep in the lines.
Only prblem with the Preds is their goalie is out, so the back up has to step up.

Easy Killer, you live in TN, so you should be an automatic Preds fan. Come out to Nashville next season, and Ill take you to a real man's game at the GEC

Extremely addicting sport, especially live. I went to the first ever home playoff game for the Preds two years ago, one of the most exciting sports events Ive seen live. Wife gets box seats about once a year, so I get to really enjoy the experience

I haven't had the pleasure of seeing a live game, maybe next year. Finishing school has been my number one priority for several years...going for my Masters in Nursing...anywho..it sounds like you're a lucky man! ;)

Once again the Red Wings did not play well against the Stars or Oilers. Generally neither fair well against the Oilers in the playoffs. My pick in the West is Kip and the Flames. My "darkhorse" is San Jose if Toskala doesn't choke.
The Sens will choke as always! My $ would be on the Hurricanes, but the Sabres will surprise everyone and take the Cup.

Well, the Redwings would be an easy pick, since they dominated the regular season and have all the superstars on the team....but I would not make them a hands down pick
I like the Stars as well, to make noise in the playoffs...

Sorry to say but jose sucks...He was traded at the deadline to colorado for aebischer, and just recently came back from a "heel" injury and hasnt won a game yet for the Avs as far as I know. He also sucked throughout the middle of the season for the Habs and lost the starting job to Cristobal Huet (is that who you were thinking of?) Since then Huets been amazing posting the best save percentage in the league and he has the second most shutouts despite only playing half the year.
All this to say GO HABS GO, as they look to make a strong run in the playoffs. If it werent for the weak play of Theodore, the habs could easily be a number 3 or 4 seed in the east. Instead they have to play Carolina in the first round, but it should be a good test. Im confident that they can win it and surprise a lot of ppl. They can play with a lot of heart and if Begin can return, watch out!
Hockey is a great game to watch live, especially with the new rule changes, very exciting and fast paced, I cant wait for the playoffs.

Good post, the sens always choke in the playoffs, thats why I wanted montreal to play them so badly, but it didnt work out. Unfortunately now we have to play carolina, but it should be an interesting series and a great test. If we beat them Ill feel very strongly about how far we can go, if not we lost to a better team and had a good run.
I agree that my pick in the west is calgary, but buffalo in the east and winning the stanley cup? interesting...Ive gotta say montreal (maybe a little biased) and if not carolina in the east but it should be interesting!

Ive gotta say that this next game will be the most important one of the series. If carolina wins they should win the series, I admit theyre a better team. but if montreal gets up 3-1 it will most likely be over. It should be interesting to see how the canadiens respond after loosing koivu. Theyre still doing tests but they have to wait for the swelling to go down continue and hes for surre out for the next two and might even loose sight in his left eye. That would be terrible but I hope that the team can respond with passion and come out really strong friday (and im goin to the game!).
