well...
If the colts don't snap out of it, then they will be a season of dissappointments, and tradgic endings!
But I do not see NE going past Cincy or Pittsburgh, and Denver does look tough, but just don't see them going to the dance...
well at least i do not want to see denver going any futher :)

Cincy.No. They cant do it! THey just lost to the bills at home the broncos beat the bill on the road! Pats and the broncos i think are the 2 tough teams.
as for the NFC Washington looks sexay right now and i think seattle would play instead of DA bears
Cin @ Ind
Chi @ Sea
I agree with you here...i would like to see a CIN-CHI superbowl...but it will most likely be seattle and indy in the 'ship :)

Divisional Playoffs
Saturday, January 14
4:30 p.m. on FOX -- Washington (11-6) at Seattle (13-3) Sorry but Brunell isn't going to get it done, and Alexander is going to run rampid.
8:00 p.m. on CBS -- New England (11-6) at Denver (13-3) Plummer is going to get killed by the schemes the Pats through at him, this will be another clear win for Brady.
Sunday, January 15
1:00 p.m. on CBS -- Pittsburgh (12-5) at Indianapolis (14-2) Bye bye Manning, go join Eli on the sidelines, because we know you can't get it done when it counts.
4:30 p.m. on FOX -- Carolina (12-5) at Chicago (11-5) This is going to be a real battle. Expect this one to be close, but ultimately the balanced attack from the Panthers will be too much for the lackluster offence from Chicago, even though they got Delhomme 8 times in a previous meeting. If Chicago had a bit more offensively they would be the real deal. Carolina in a close one.
This puts NE at Pittsburgh and Carolina @ Seattle in the AFC and NFC championship games respectively. Expect Seattle to come out in the NFC and NE to prevail in another hard fought battle with the Steelers. Seattle wins a shocker in Detroit over NE.

No way does three road teams win. That just does not happen in the NFL. Home field means too much, so with that the only road team I see with a good chance to win is Carolina. Of the other three, I see the Pats as a good team to look at. They play the run strong (Denver strength) and they keep the QB in the pocket (Plummer weakness). The other two road teams are going to get stomped.

OK, I was hoping for a Cincy win, but that did not happen. So now I think Denver beats the Pats; Colts beat Steelers. Seahawks kill the skins and da Bears beat the Panters. (Talk about going out on a limb there)

really thats interesting, considering the following!
For the second year in a row, three of the four wild-card road teams came out victorious.

Special to SuperBowl.com
(Jan. 9, 2006) -- The first round of the playoffs reminded me of some time-tested truths about 'playoff' football and it exposed some of the new trends emerging in the game. Let's start with the most important position on the field -- quarterback. It seems as clear now that a veteran quarterback even on the road is a better bet than a playoff rookie quarterback, even if he is at home.
Sure, Tom Brady is now 10-0 in playoff games. But even the great Peyton Manning lost his first three playoff games in the NFL and he got shut out by the Jets just like his brother Eli got blanked by the Panthers this past weekend. The pain of acquiring experience! Nobody wants to hear about being patient with young quarterbacks and even veteran teammates appear frustrated when the QB struggles. So, the quick exit for Eli Manning, Chris Simms, and Byron Leftwich was to be expected.
Last year, Ben Roethlisberger threw five interceptions in the first two playoff games of his career, but looked like a seasoned veteran in the win over the Bengals. The four losing teams could only generate a combined 30 points, while Big Ben led a 31-point effort for the Steelers. The truth in Round 1 is that a playoff veteran QB on the road trumps an inexperienced QB at home. This is the second year in a row that the road teams on Wild Card Weekend went 3-1. Imagine someone telling you visiting teams would be 6-2 on Wild Card Weekend.

so saying road teams cant win like that is just bs, Brady is the veteran in the playoffs, Plummer is the chump, Manning is also a chump in the playoffs, Delhomme has been to the big dance, Alexander outshines Hasslebacks problems in the playoffs (although that was many from his receivers not catching easy passes), Brunell just sucks, Roethlisburger is a machine, Orton or Grossman? either way it doesnt matter.

The point is that home field really doesn't mean much when you have a veteran QB and a team that knows how to win over a team that is led by shakey players that haven't proved they can get it done in the playoffs.
